Lee earned her bachelor of fine arts degree from East Carolina University and furthered her education by attending Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina. Although Lee spent some time growing up in Delaware, the majority of her life has been spent in her home of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Lee's love for art started at a very young age. In addition to creating jewelry, Lee also enjoys painting, ceramics and photography.
